Solid Rock Farms is a family passion and small breeding business. We namely focus on raising English Setters registered with United Kennel Club's Field Dog Stud Book, the oldest purebred dog registry in the US. We enroll each of our litters before they're ready for their new homes, at 8 weeks, to simplify the registration process for their new families.

We only have a single Setter pair at SRF, Roy and Sam. Our bird dogs are athletic and confident with friendly dispositions, making them ideal hunting partners and cherished family pets! Both our adult Setters are very loyal, eager to please, and extremely tolerable, or mild-tempered. Not to mention, they completely adore our small children!

 

At SRF we always keep our puppies and parents alike, up to date on all their vaccinations, and regularly dewormed for preventative care. Both parents periodically do training exercises on the farm and regularly bird hunt all over the game lands of western North Carolina's mountains during local hunting seasons. Although neither have been field trialed or entered into any competitions, each parent absolutely loves the sport and have produced some very promising puppies with lots of potential.​
